Fly a paraglider on your own! Our Introduction courses allows you to be introduced slowly into the sport of paragliding at your own pace. The one or two-day option gives you the chance to realize whether the sport is for you or not by paying a minimal fee and getting the feel of it. Once you ready or are already convinced you want to become a paragliding pilot, you will do the basic license course. Should you decide to progress to the basic license course from a introduction course, you will only be charged the balance of the basic license course.
The two-day course includes the following:
-Paragliding theory class
-Equipment familiarization session
-at least 1 Instructional tandem flight
-Training Manual
-6-month temporary student license
-Ground handling sessions
- 1-4 Solo flights (Weather and site permitting)
- Meals and Refreshments for the duration of the course.
- Personal safety gear like sturdy footwear, sun protection and Covid wear.
- Transportation to and from the starting point – Get in touch to arrange a transfer
This course is focused on you flying solo for the first time, under instructor guidance via two-way radio. Therefore, more time is spent ground handling the paraglider and more in depth theory classes on flight planning, meteorology and aerodynamics. You will immediately be registered with SAHPA as a temporary student for 6 months and also receive a SAHPA training manual.
